1. Returns & Exchanges

30-Day Exchange & Store Credit

Purchased something that isn't quite right? We offer exchanges or store credit for eligible products within 30 days of purchase.

To qualify, your item must be:

  • Unused, undamaged and in its original saleable condition.
  • Returned with its original packaging, labels and accessories.
  • Accompanied by valid proof of purchase.
  • Presented for return within 30 days of purchase.

Change-of-mind purchases, including incorrect size selection or changes in preference, are not eligible for a cash refund. Eligible products may instead be exchanged or returned for store credit.

For online change-of-mind returns, return postage is the customer's responsibility.

Sale & Personalised Products

Sale items: Eligible discounted products may be exchanged or returned for store credit unless different conditions were disclosed before purchase.

Customised items: Personalised cricket equipment, custom jerseys and made-to-order products are generally not eligible for change-of-mind returns once production or personalisation has commenced.

Your statutory rights remain protected regardless of these conditions.

2. Cricket Bat Warranty

12 Months of Warranty Support

Every cricket bat purchased from 22 Yard Cricket comes with our 12-month warranty, starting from the original date of purchase.

Cricket bats are crafted from natural willow, a material that responds differently to impact, preparation and playing conditions. Our warranty provides repair and replacement support for eligible damage.

What Our Bat Warranty Covers

Handle

Assessment and repair of damage or breakage

Shoulder

Repair of eligible cracks or structural damage

Blade

Repair of eligible cracks and splits

Edges

Repair of eligible edge cracks or damage

Approved warranty repairs are carried out by our bat repair team, with the bat returned to the customer after completion.

When Is a Bat Eligible for Replacement?

If a bat breaks completely into two pieces horizontally across the blade within 12 months, it may qualify for replacement following inspection and approval.

Where approved, we will arrange a replacement of the same brand and model through the manufacturer. If the original model is unavailable, we'll discuss a suitable alternative with you.

Toe Damage & Exclusions

The toe of a cricket bat is particularly exposed to ground impact and moisture.

Our voluntary bat repair warranty does not cover toe cracking, splitting, swelling or deterioration caused by use, moisture or ground contact. Paid toe repair services may be available.

Other conditions include:

  • Normal cosmetic wear and natural willow characteristics do not automatically qualify as defects.
  • Damage resulting from misuse, improper storage, excessive moisture or unauthorised alterations may not qualify.
  • Every warranty claim is assessed individually.
  • Proof of purchase and product inspection may be required.

These exclusions apply only to our voluntary warranty and do not override Australian Consumer Law.

3. Other Cricket Equipment Warranties

We assess product concerns based on their cause, the applicable manufacturer warranty and Australian Consumer Law.

Batting Protection (Gloves · Pads · Thigh Guards · Arm Guards · Chest Guards)

We assess concerns involving premature stitching failure, defective straps, seams or materials. Ordinary wear and accidental damage are not automatically manufacturing defects.

Cricket Shoes

We assess potential defects such as premature sole separation, faulty stitching and defective spikes or attachments.

Cricket Helmets

We assess manufacturing concerns involving adjustment systems, fittings and construction. Helmets that sustain significant impact should be assessed according to the manufacturer's safety guidance before further use.

Cricket Kit Bags

We assess concerns involving defective zippers, wheels, handles and premature seam failure. Damage resulting from overloading or misuse is not automatically a manufacturing fault.

No separate fixed 22 Yard Cricket warranty period is specified for these equipment categories. Applicable manufacturer warranties and statutory consumer guarantees continue to apply.

4. Professional Bat Repair Services

Our bat repair services are carried out with care and attention to the condition of each bat.

As willow is a natural material, repairs cannot guarantee that a bat will never develop further damage through continued play.

If a service fails to meet applicable consumer guarantees, we will provide the remedy required under Australian Consumer Law.

5. Returns & Warranty Claim Process

We aim to make the process straightforward.

Return Postage

For voluntary change-of-mind returns, customers are responsible for return postage unless otherwise agreed.

For products that fail to meet consumer guarantees, reasonable return costs will be covered or reimbursed where required by law.

6. Refunds & Store Credit

Approved refunds are generally processed through the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

For eligible change-of-mind exchanges:

  • Higher-value replacement: Pay the price difference.
  • Lower-value replacement: Receive the remaining value as store credit.

Payment-provider processing times may vary.

Store credit will not replace a refund where the customer has a legal right to choose a refund.

7. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Consumer guarantees also apply to eligible services.

Our voluntary return conditions, 12-month cricket bat warranty and product exclusions operate in addition to these statutory rights.
